End of summer adventures…

Hi folks!

I have a few fun adventures to share with you since I wrote last.  First of all, my nanny Melissa took me (with her kids, Drew and Hannah) to Enchanted Village!  What fun we had!  We went on rides that went up and down and round and round, and even drove cars!  We really had fun.  I had a hard time smiling for the camera, but trust me, we had a blast.

Then, as promised, mommy, daddy and grandma Deane took me to the fair.  Unfortunately we left the house the moment I woke up from my nap and drove a long way, so by the time we got there all I really wanted to do was RUN.  But it was too crowded and I had to stay in my stroller most of the time.  That makes me grumpy and crazy.  I did hold it together long enough to see some VERY BIG horses (and some teeny tiny horses), a mama pig with her babies, and lots of goats.  My favorite fair food is hot dogs.  And french fries.  And ice cream cones.  Not ice cream; specifically the cones.

A couple weeks ago on a beautiful Friday morning mommy had a great idea… let’s take the bus downtown!  So mommy and I, without the stroller or diaper bag, just with the backpack carrier and a fanny pack, took the bus to Pike Place Market.  I loved the bus!  And I was such a good boy.  I just watched the people and looked out the window.  I liked to say "light on" and "light off" everytime a stop was requested.  Good times.  Then when we were downtown mommy and I shared a yummy chocolate croissant and walked to the Seattle Art Museum.  Unfortunately the man at the door said I had to get out of the backpack.  Mommy called this a "disaster".  I didn’t understand that I wasn’t supposed to touch all the cool sculptures and things, so we didn’t look at the art for long.  They had some great play spaces for kids, so we mostly played.

Now call it bad luck or call it bus germs, but the very next day we went to the cabin for Labor Day weekend and I got really sick.  So sick that we had to come home again the same day.  Bummer.  I was all pukey and fevery.  It was yucky.  But luckily it didn’t last long and I was back to myself before the end of the long weekend.  I even gave daddy zerberts on his face!  For some reason I was running around naked… I don’t remember why….

And finally, the biggest news of all…. PRE-SCHOOL!  Last Friday was my first day of pre-school.  I have been waiting all summer and it was totally worth it!  I love it!  In fact, the worst part was definitely time to go home.  I get to go again tomorrow though, so that will be fun.  Mommy is going to stay in class with me on Fridays but Tuesdays I will stay all by myself.  I’m not sure how I feel about that yet.  I’ll let you know.

Other news… I talk.  LOTS.  On Friday I was singing "Kum Bay Ya" to mommy.  Melissa sings that song to me at naptime and I really like it.  I also tell jokes.  I met a new baby with mommy and daddy the other day and his name was Henry.  I tried to say baby Henry but instead said "baby honey".  I thought it was hilarious!  More soon…
