It is Santa season!

Hi friends!

Wow.  What an exciting and busy month November has been.  I don’t think I’ll be able to tell you all the details in one post, so I’ve put a bunch of photos in my gallery instead.  You’ll see my trips to the park (I can walk there now all by myself!), a great trip to the zoo to see the river otters, and some great sweaters and hats that my great grandma Jo made for uncle Ryan when he was my size!  I especially like this one with the horses on it.  There is also a picture of mommy and me in our matching sock monkey pajamas!  Aren’t we cute?

I’ve also had a lot of fun lately playing the piano.  Sometimes mommy lets me play it with Silas when he comes over on Mondays.  When I was younger I was really afraid of the piano.  I always cried when someone played it; even one note!  But now I love it, especially when I’m the one playing.

Then…drum roll please…I got my hair cut!  Mommy was pretty sad to see the curls go, but look at what a big boy I am now!  Grandma Deane did the cutting and I was so brave.  I just sat still like a big boy and ate my veggie booty.  Even mommy loves the new look, and no one asks if I’m a girl anymore :)

Of course the big November news was Thanksgiving!  What fun!  We had a big party with our family and lots and lots of food.  I even got to spend some time with great grandpa Ted, so that was great.  I posted a bunch of pictures in the gallery so you can see what a nice time we had.  Daddy made two delicious turkeys and mommy made an apple pie.  I was actually pretty picky about Thanksgiving foods, but I have enjoyed turkey and pie leftovers.

Guess who I got to see today?  SANTA!  Mommy and daddy took me to see him so I could tell him what I want for Christmas.  He was a pretty cool dude with a wonderful beard and a hat just like mine and daddy’s!  We look pretty cute, don’t we?

I guess the only other news is that I am getting molars.  Ugh.  This teething thing is getting old.  Two molars have made it through and the next two are definitely on the way.  It makes me grumpy and really wound up.  Ah well.  I guess I better get used to it.  After these ones are in, I still have 8 more to go.

Oh, and I forgot to tell you.  I went to the doctor this month for my 15 month check up.  Although mommy thinks I am getting really heavy, I am still pretty small; not even 21 lbs yet.  But I am healthy and doing just great, so all is well.  I had to get shots again, but I think I’m done for a while now.

Hey and Kari posted a comment asking about the huge pumpkin I was growing…  Yeah, it isn’t so huge.  See the pumpkins at the front door?  I grew the one at the back that looks like a football.  Not exactly big enough for me to climb into!  Just not a hot enough summer I guess.  We’ll try again next year :)

And I guess that’s all for now.  EXCEPT… Happy Birthday grandpa Bob!  We went out for a nice dinner tonight to celebrate with him (although I wasn’t in the mood for sitting nicely at the table) and came home for some pie.  His real birthday is tomorrow.  Have a great one grandpa!  Hopefully in my next post I’ll have some Christmas-y things to tell you.  Maybe we’ll have a tree by then!

Ho Ho Ho!

Hi Friends!

Well I am trying to stay more on top of my blog, so here we go.  First of all, Halloween!  What fun that was!  I only got to have one candy corn, but I loved to see the pumpkins and walk around in my costume.  I even got to visit some neighbors.  It was fun :)   And during the day mommy and I worked on my first craft project… BATS!  I got to color them with my white crayon and mommy taped them up on the window. This weekend I get to see my PEPS friends and we are going to wear our costumes again, so I’ll get some good use out of my bumblebee.

Daddy and I got to watch the football game on Sunday and have veggie bootie!  What fun.  I felt like a big boy :)   The Seahawks lost, so daddy was sad, but I shared my bootie and everything was ok.

Then on Tuesday we had dinner with some friends who have a 5 month old baby, Finn, and two doggies who LOVED to lick my face!  It was really funny.  And the best news of all… OBAMA WON!  Well, I’m not really sure what that means but mommy told me to say it.  She and daddy are pretty excited.

Unfortunately I have a bit of a cold right now, so that isn’t fun.  And it just keeps raining.  Luckily mommy bought me a rain outfit (or a Seattle uniform, as I like to call it) at the second hand store, so we played outside today.  What fun!  I didn’t even get wet except for my hands!

I guess that’s about it for now.  My walking is getting better and better.  Soon I’ll be running circles around mommy and daddy!  Check out my gallery for more of …me!
